Agnès Varda
Agnès Varda is a distinguished filmmaker who through her work and thoughts on images as simultaneously evidence of the real and expressions of the imaginary, has made important contributions to contemporary thought. Her films, a constant dialogue between documentary and fiction, and more recently her video installations, are social and realistic, but always based on a subjectivity that provides a worldview where the rules are invented freely and a playful sense is stimulated.
