Del 16 al 27 de juliol, va tenir lloc a la Facultat de Lletres la 1st Girona Conference on Inner Model Theory amb el títol “Stacking Mice and Misdemeanors”. El Congrés va ser organitzat conjuntament amb els professors Ralf Schindler (Universität Münster), John Steel (Berkeley).

Aquest congrés, continuació de diverses edicions anteriors celebrades  a Münster i Califòrnia, va reunir investigadors i estudiants avançats amb interès en la teoria de models interns, per tal de comunicar-se i aprofundir en el treballs recents. Durant el congrés va haver-hi cursos i conferències individuals. Les sessions van tenir lloc de dilluns a divendres, amb 2,5 hores de conferències al matí i 2,5 hores a la tarda, deixant temps suficient per a sessions de problemes, seminaris informals i altres interaccions.
