The Chair organized, together with the Department of Philology and Philosophy, this summer course that took place from July 8 to 12, 2002, with the participation of Ramón Moreno (UdG), Ramon Alcoberro (UdG), Narcís Mir (Risk Observatory), Jordi Sargatal (Territory and Landscape Foundation), Antoni Defez (University of Girona), Joan David Tàbara and Víctor M. Toledo. The course became a meeting place for people from very diverse backgrounds to discuss and debate ethical issues related to the environment.
