Professor Paul Ravelo Cabrera, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Havana, made a research stay at the University of Girona during the months of February and March 2001. This exchange served to contrast the research carried out up to that moment by the Catalan and Cuban professors. The results of this part of the project gave rise to a seminar given by Professor Paul Ravelo entitled “From the Cuban illustration of the 18th and 19th centuries at the beginning of the influence of Marxism and fideism in the first half of the 19th century”.
