Rafael Miranda's lectures on Cornelius Castoriadis

In 2011, the Ferrater Mora Chair began a collaboration with Prof. Rafael Miranda to study and publicise the work of Cornelius Castoriadis and the work carried out by the Loi 1901 Association and the Cornelius Castoriadis / Agora International website, and more recently by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco in Mexico. As a result of this collaboration, Prof. Miranda visited the University of Girona on 15 April 2011 to give the following two lectures at the Faculty of Arts:

  • “Cornelius Castoriadis, a unique career”, open to the entire university community
  • “From thinking steel to institutional work”, given in a seminar format for teachers, scholarship holders and philosophy doctorate students.

Rafael Miranda is a bibliographer for the Cornelius Castoriadis / Agora International portal; Guest Professor in charge of seminars at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Xochimilco unit; Doctor in Psychoanalytical Foundations and Development at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid; Master in Social Psychology of Groups and Institutions; Full time student under the direction of Cornelius Castoriadis EHESS Paris; Graduate in Sociology of Work and Organizations; Coordinator of the Cornelius Castoriadis Inter-institutional Chair Project.
