The course “Introduction to Asian Philosophy” took place from 01-02-2008 to 30-04-2008, and was organized in collaboration with the Student Association Assofia. The course was given by Prof. Xavier Serra Narciso, Associate Professor of Philosophy at the IES Pla de l’Estany de Banyoles. In recent years, he has focused on the study of religion and wisdom of various cultural traditions, from the phenomenology and history of religions, as well as from the perspective of humanistic and transpersonal psychology, with the basis of a philosophical training of Western tradition and the more recent study of Asian thought, especially Buddhism and Hindu Vedanta Advaita, with the invaluable mastery of Raimon Panikkar.
