Competence, decisiveness and good sense

This course, organized by the Ferrater Mora Chair at a distance and online, in collaboration with the philosophy portal www.terricabras-filosofia.info, took place from 11 to 30 April 2011 and was attended by 113 students.

Often the best way to face the future is to take a look at the past. To this end, it seems that the best way to ask ourselves about the values that should govern our lives at the beginning of the third millennium is to review the values that have been in force up to now in order to build a new edifice of values, which is not the result of uncritical impositions but of slow and mature reflection. In this case (eight courses on values had already been offered in the past), the values of competence, decision and good sense were dealt with, with the participation of professors Neus Sanmartí (ICE-University of Barcelona), Jordi Mir (Pompeu Fabra University) and Josep-Maria Terricabras (University of Girona), coordinated by Esteve Gracia, with the following program:
